During my time at GSN and PeopleFun, I created quite a few tutorial videos and reels.
All videos were written, produced, voiced and edited by me.
Here are three of my favorite from PeopleFun:
1. Intro to Wordscapes Solitaire: Wordscapes Solitaire is easily one of the most enjoyable games I’ve ever worked on, but it does have a LOT to it, and as such, I ended up doing 4 “How-To” videos. Here’s the first one:
2. Level 686: The Point Geyser: On this level, you can earn a TON of points. To maximize that ton to its fullest potential, you can use the “Find Best Word” booster, which increases your score hugely! This video shows players how to do that:
3. English Words from Foreign Sources: I also created a number of reels that gave players an insight into the words themselves. English is a funny language, and there is a ton of potential content just covering some of its inconsistencies.
For Tiki Solitaire TriPeaks, I also created a number of “How To” videos, reels, and feature introductions. Here are three favorites from that period of time:
1. Intro to Clubs, Part II: This video received over 2 million views before it was taken down, as it had become outdated.
2. Poi’s Treasure Featuring Sibhu: We began to explore doing some funny Tiki Solitaire-focused reels for Instagram, TikTok and YouTube. This features a character I created for my son’s bedtime stories. Her name is Sibhu, and she’s a wealthy, selfish, entitled – yet lovable – poodle:
3. Ten Year Anniversary Love Story: As one might imagine, finding a couple that actually MET through your game is like discovering gold. And boy did I milk this one for all it was worth! They are a very sweet couple, and we featured them in one of our “Love Island” Spotlights one year, followed it up the next year with Spotlight about their marriage, and then included them in our 10-year anniversary celebrations with this:
I began doing videos back in 2014 for GSN’s Facebook games, where players would enjoy their games in our canvas app. Here are three of my favorites from that period of time:
1. April Fool’s Day 2015: Always after a good gag, I put this together for our players who often lamented how many tokens they’d lose playing our slots and bingo games.
2. Monster Mansion Halloween Video Bingo Tutorial: Every month we had a new version of Video Bingo, for which I’d create a video. One of the greatest versions of the game was Monster Mansion, and as such, it was absolutely my favorite one to do. I loved voicing the characters and talking like a creepy host:
3. Video Bingo: Astrology Adventure: I enjoyed writing and producing this one for all the right reasons:
